Commercial Real Estate Photography and Videography

Below is an example of a photography and videography of a commercial real estate property in the Humboldt Park neighborhood prior to any major construction. It showcases the space in its raw format, and highlights the vibrant community around it, including the Chicago 606 Trail.

As you’ll see, it was a gorgeous day to be out photographing and filming at 1756 N. Kimball!

The 606 trail was quiet during this time — there was definitely more activity during the lunch hour.

The arched beams featured in this part of the space are called bow trusses. I learned something new! :)

Product Photography and Videography for a Mask Company

DittoMask is a Chicago based mask company that needed new images and video for their website. For this shoot we hired 4 different models and captured them working out with the masks, and created some lifestyle shots of them as well.

The video below showcases how the client ended up using the video sequences created that day.

Product Photography for Travel Accessories Company

Redesigning a website often prompts the need for new photographs — and that’s what often brings us together! :)

Ms. Jetsetter, a Chicago travel accessories company, and a female and black owned business, began redesigning their website and recognized the need for images of their product beyond the classic product on a white background, often used for an e-commerce product page.

In addition to the website needs, we also wanted to create several unique images to help support their social media content. So we experimented with different looks, and created unique “locations” within our one location, to get more variety. We really enjoyed mimicking sunlight coming through a window to evoke a different feel.

We also had these beautiful models showcase the products, providing an additional perspective.

We also managed to squeeze in a portrait of the owner, Tracey, who’s warm smile is a perfect reflection of her personality — who doesn’t need one of these for their About Us page? 😍

Behind the Scenes on Real Estate Lighting

In order to get real estate shoots to pop, we add additional light as needed. Here is a behind the scenes look on how to create well lit images in environments that might need that extra pop of light. In this example, the cabinets were not well lit by the available light.

Printed!

We loved the expression on their faces.

As photographers we take hundreds of photos during one event, and share what we think are the best ones. And from there, our clients, pick their favorite ones. Many of these images never see the light of day, but when they do, it brings a big smile to our face!

The photo below was taken at the Chicago Booth Private Equity Conference in 2015. More than a year later, this photo has lived on! It will be printed in a book, and be the closing image.

Getting printed never gets old. :)

The Ford House of Bruce Goff

Chicagoland is rich in architecture and the Bruce Goff's Ford House is one of those hidden gems located in the western suburbs of Chicago.

It will be almost a year ago since we had the opportunity to work with the folks at PrarieMod and Friends of Kebyar, a niche journal for architecture.

And, well, it's about time we shared some of the beautiful photos that were published!

If you ever have the chance to join an architecture tour that makes its way to this spot, definitely check it out. It is worth the trip.
